Sergio Maldonado’s research interests include various aspects of Environmental Fluid Mechanics, including: the study of interactions between flows and living organisms (algae), the mechanics of plastic pollutants in turbulent flow, and enhancement of numerical (CFD and computational hydraulics) solvers via Physics Informed Neural Networks.
